33 years of history!
The Factoría de Acción Cultural Nhorte is in luck, born in the spring of 1991, it celebrates its 34rd anniversary this year, and since its foundation it has pursued the idea of being a focus for the production of educational ideas aimed mainly at children and youth, thanks to which, throughout all these years, a style was forged, a peculiar and non-transferable way of understanding education in general and summer camps in particular that made today, 34 years later, and more than never, we still believe as the first day, in a world increasingly tolerant, more livable and in a human being in constant process of evolution.
Among all the activities that it carries out, the Summer Camps occupy a main place, an ideal framework for achieving the educational and leisure objectives that it pursues.
The methodology used uses, fundamentally, the word , the game and the imagination as essential tools to combine, in globalized programs, different subjects that at all times try to reconcile fun and learning.
Based in Asturias, the Campamento Nhorte facilities, a complement to a beautiful natural environment surrounded by beaches and trails , receive participants from all over Spain and other countries, mainly Europeans, each year. There are already many fathers and mothers, entities and institutions that have placed their trust in our activities throughout these 34 years of existence, in which more than 20,000 participants from the most diverse parts of the world have passed through here. For those of you who choose our activities year after year, we dedicate our efforts trying to surprise you every summer with something new in our activities and facilities.

And finally, the management team of Nhorte, the TEACHERS, because they are also the TEACHERS of our LAMA SCHOOL of animation. All of them have been and are the red thread that gives continuity to the project, and although we have grown older with you, and some are no longer with us, we continue to discuss very seriously about everything that can improve the activity, such as what theme can be, each year, more fun and educational: Carnival, Ancient Egypt, The Enchanted Forest or, as this year, ONIRIA, the world of dreams!
Finally, our installation at Camp Nhorte deserves at least a couple of lines. Shaped with great effort over the years, fragile like the nature in which it is integrated, it surprises newcomers and attracts those who return, and it has the power to make those who come seeking to be part of a different world feel at home .

Summer camp in Asturias
If this summer your children want to participate in a multi-adventure camp in Asturias, look no further! We have what you need. During the months of July and August, in Villaviciosa, the 2025 edition of the FAC Nhorte camp in Asturias will take place.
DATES AND SHIFTS 2025:
1st Shift: July 1 to July 10 (10 days).
2nd Shift: July 11 to 20 (10 days)
3rd Shift: July 21 to 30 (10 days)
4th Shift: August 1 to 14 (14 days)
5th Shift: August 15 to 24 (10 days)
This summer we will explore ONIRIA: THE DREAM WORLD: magical creatures, dreamlike landscapes and unforgettable adventures await us. This, together with the beach trips, the swimming pool, the bivouac nights, the zip line and our more than 30 years of experience, are the key to a dream camp.

- Chispas: 5 to 8 years old (In the 4th shift, fourteen days, only 7 and 8 years old).

General Information
Where is the camp located, and what age groups is it for?
Nhorte Camp is located in Argüero, Villaviciosa (Asturias), in a privileged natural setting near the sea. We welcome children and teenagers aged 5 to 18, organized into age-specific groups (Sparks, Comets, Zulus, Lances, and Echoes) so that every activity is tailored to their stage of development.
What is the theme for Summer 2026?
Every year brings a brand-new adventure! This summer, our main theme is «The Dragon Festival: A Journey to the Far East.» The entire camp experience—from decorations and workshops to our large-scale games—will revolve around this exciting story, creating a truly immersive adventure.
Is the camp suitable for children attending for the first time?
Absolutely! We specialize in helping younger children enjoy their first experience away from home. Our team of counselors pays special attention to helping new campers integrate, feel comfortable, and enjoy a positive emotional experience from day one.
Registration and Logistics
How do I register, and are discounts available?
Registration is completed directly through our official website. The system allows you to register up to three participants in a single booking. We also offer discounted rates for siblings and returning Nhorte campers.
How does transportation from Madrid and other locations work?
Families may bring participants directly to the camp or use our organized coach service. The main departure point is in Madrid (Planetario area). Detailed schedules and exact pickup locations are always confirmed before each camp session begins.
What should campers pack?
Essential items include comfortable clothing, sports shoes, sunscreen, a cap, a reusable water bottle, and personal toiletries. Once your registration is confirmed, we will send you a complete packing checklist so you won’t forget anything important.
Safety and Well-being
How do you handle allergies and medical needs?
Safety is our highest priority. It is essential to indicate any allergies, intolerances, or special requirements in the registration form. To accommodate different dietary needs, we provide two menu options: a standard menu and a vegetarian menu, allowing families to choose the one that best suits their needs.
What is the policy regarding mobile phone use and communication?
We encourage campers to disconnect from technology in order to strengthen friendships and social interaction. Mobile phone use is regulated and limited to specific times. Families can follow the camp experience through updates on our social media channels and the direct communication channels provided by the organization.
Registration Cancellation
What happens if I need to cancel my registration?
Once the registration fee has been paid, the booking may be canceled. Nhorte will retain 10% of the amount paid if the cancellation is made up to 15 days before the activity begins. If the cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the activity, the full registration fee will be retained.
