Rodrigo Cuevas is an artist born in Oviedo who has come to revise traditional music by passing it through the filter of contemporary popular rhythms.
In 2023, at the age of 37, the Ministry of Culture awarded him the National Prize for Current Music. They highlighted the singularity and commitment to diversity of his work, as well as the richness of the imaginary world rooted in Asturian and Celtic traditions.
Together with the Galician artist Baiuca, he composed this “Veleno” with tribal undertones.
